ProjectVF - October 2005

Good progress. The triple clamps and forks have been removed for later mods. I did a series of careful measurements of the frame and everything appears to be where it's supposed to be. Click on the photo to see a larger version or click here to see it from another angle.

VF750 cut and stretched, no forks

GSXR radiator versus VF750 radiators

A Suzuki GSXR radiator replaces the heaver dual stock radiators. The curved design helps keep the front wheel close to the frame.

Acura seat ready to be modified

A seat was found. It's from a Honda Acura and features deeply bolstered sides and a thin base. The base was trimmed to suit the needs of a recumbent versus an automobile.

I built a temporary frame extension from poplar and screwed the seat into place, giving me a better idea of the size of the monster I'm creating.

Chopped seat pan is now the right length

Here's the mad scientist himself, imagining an afternoon cruise.
