ProjectVF: The Recumbent Motorcycle Gallery

The recumbents below were some of the inspirations for building my own. Beneath that are various recumbents I've found over the years. Each is unique in it's own way. For links to a variety of recumbent and motorcycle pages, click here.

This recumbent grabbed my attention more than any other. It's an absolutely wild concept from the design studio of noted vehicle visionary Sbarro. It appears more like a spaceship than a motorcycle. However, a closer look reveals just how impractical it would be in the real world: virtually no ground clearance, no room for a suspension, no side protection from elements or road debris, so low it would be invisible to other drivers and no room for a conventional engine or an electric motor and batteries. Despite all that, it looks hot. I think it would look great parked in a corner of my living room. Talk about a conversation starter!

I first saw Roadog when I was a kid. I didn't know anything about it, but thought it was pretty cool. Millions of people have seen this same photo in one form or another. Click on it to find out more about Roadog.
