Recumbent Motorcycles, also known as Feet-Forward Motorcycles, are a great alternative to standard bikes. Europeans have built amazing creations, some with center-hub steering and aerodynamic bodywork. Designer studios have exhibited low-slung concept bikes, some practical and some outrageous. Honda built the Helix and racing legend Dan Gurney built a feet-forward machine he gleefully says can do full-throttle launches without lifting the front wheel.

I love my FJ1200 and VF500 sportbikes, but I'd like something with a comfortable riding position, full backrest and higher mileage. How about adding a double A-arm suspension to replace the forks and a passive restraint system? Think of it as a Cadillac; smooth ride, big motor, and go anywhere in comfort.
